Nelson Mullins is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its litigation group in its Richmond office. As an AmLaw100 firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a lateral associate who wants to be part of a dynamic team in a growing location.
Richmond attorneys represent companies in courtrooms across the country primarily in products liability defense, mass torts, and class actions.
From pre-suit investigation through appeals, team members are experienced as local, regional, and national counsel who handle litigation involving matters ranging from automotive products, medical devices, power equipment, recreational and sports equipment, home goods, and all manner of other consumer products. The office’s attorneys also regularly consult with companies on strategies for avoiding and minimizing litigation and its impact on their business.
You have at least three years of meaningful experience in commercial and/or complex litigation matters. Prior service as a federal court clerk is a plus. You’re prepared to draft, respond to and argue discovery and other motions, take and defend depositions, and bring an entrepreneurial spirit to the team. You possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, strong academic credentials, and a solid understanding of procedural and substantive law. You are adept in case management, and ready to take the lead. You are admitted in good standing to the Virginia Bar (required).
