Overview

Nelson Mullins, an AM Law 60 firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Boston office and support attorneys handling commercial litigation and complex business litigation matters. You will work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and take ownership of assigned matters, moving tasks forward with limited oversight while contributing to the efficient handling of complex litigation disputes.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will serve as a key litigation resource supporting attorneys on sophisticated commercial and business disputes. You will independently manage core paralegal functions such as tracking and enforcing court deadlines, maintaining detailed case calendars, and coordinating electronic filings through federal and state court systems. The position involves hands‑on involvement in drafting and preparing litigation documents, conducting PACER and legal research, and assisting with trial preparation as matters progress. Success in this role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively manage multiple matters while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and momentum across active cases.

You bring a strong understanding of the litigation life cycle, with the experience and judgment to move tasks forward with limited oversight. You communicate effectively with attorneys and team members, recognize the importance of accuracy and attention to detail, and consistently deliver thorough, polished work product in a fast‑paced environment. You are technology‑savvy, comfortable working with Microsoft Office and eDiscovery platforms, and willing to learn new systems as needed. A collaborative mindset, strong sense of accountability, and ability to adapt to shifting priorities are essential for success in this role.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm supporting commercial and complex business litigation matters
  • Experience maintaining court deadlines and case calendars, filing documents through ECF and state court systems, and conducting PACER and legal research
  • A 2‑ or 4‑year degree and paralegal certificate preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted for education

At Nelson Mullins, we are dedicated to transparent and fair compensation practices. Pay for this position is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location.

 

Salary/ Wage Range - $85,000- $115,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for merit-based raises and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans and paid time off.
