Overview

Nelson Mullins, a super-regional AmLaw 100 law firm, seeks an Applications Analyst that will be responsible for assessing end user needs, evaluating software products, integrating applications, managing implementation projects and providing high level support. Advanced technical knowledge of existing legal applications is essential. Basic knowledge of database (SQL) and web servers is required. This position will install, test, configure, implement, and document software applications that support all aspects of the firm's operation. Excellent customer service and organizational skills are necessary as this position will interface with users at all levels within the firm.

 

We are open to considering a hybrid or remote work arrangement for candidates who demonstrate strong qualifications and relevant experience.

A Day in the Life

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical foundation, demonstrated by expertise in managing and troubleshooting core applications such as Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10 & 11, and Document Management Systems (DMS). Proficiency in legal-specific software, including Litigation and IP Docketing programs, is essential. They are adept at utilizing systems management tools like SCCM, have a solid understanding of database management with Microsoft SQL, and are skilled in scripting with PowerShell. Furthermore, the candidate has strong hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting both hardware and software, along with managing Active Directory and Group Policy, and effectively handling application installation, configuration, testing, and deployment scheduling. We Know You

This candidate must be skilled professional with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5+  years of application support preferably within a legal setting. This role can require availability outside of standard business hours, participation in a rotating on-call schedule, and the ability to work extended hours on short notice to support the firm's needs.

  • Docketing programs (Litigation and IP)
  • Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft SQL
  • Microsoft PowerShell
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and 2019
  • Experience with other legal specific applications
