Office of Nelson Mullins, a national, AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking qualified applicants for a position in our communications, technology and privacy practice.
As a paralegal performing a broad range of corporate and regulatory tasks, you will work closely with attorneys to research court decisions, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and state public utility commission (PUC) orders, laws, rules, and procedural requirements. You will organize, review, and summarize documents, files, and factual research, assist in tracking relevant federal and state legislation, and create charts and curate facts and data to support regulatory and legislative advocacy. Additionally, you will prepare, format, and file various documents with the FCC and state PUCs, assist with and conduct document reviews, Bluebook and cite-check filings, and file entity creation and registration documents with state agencies. Your role will also involve communicating with clients, government agencies, and vendors, while maintaining the confidentiality of client information.
The ideal candidate for this position possesses excellent communications, writing, editing and organizational skills. You are detail oriented, can keep multiple projects moving along simultaneously, and have a strong sense of accountability. You take ownership over projects and meet deadlines, resolve issues proactively, and enjoy being a team player. You are a technology pro with proficiency in Microsoft Office and have no problem learning new software and services such as Westlaw, Lexis and Relativity. You utilize your expertise and keen eye for detail to further client services, teamwork, and efficiency.
