Nelson Mullins is seeking a Litigation Paralegal in our downtown Los Angeles office to assist attorneys in a range of state and federal matters.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Paralegal with at least five years of experience in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process, from start to finish, with trial experience strongly preferred.
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will collaborate closely with attorneys, managing a wide range of substantive tasks. Your responsibilities will include overseeing case files, monitoring critical court deadlines, and ensuring all filings are timely and accurate. You will be responsible for electronically filing documents through the ECF system, conducting PACER research, and drafting pleadings, notices, and motions. Additionally, you will prepare and manage deposition materials, exhibits, and summaries, while tracking discovery and document productions.
In this role, you will also serve as a liaison with courts, outside counsel, experts, and clients, handling key correspondence and assisting with trial preparation and strategy meetings. A deep understanding of the litigation lifecycle, from initial filings through trial, is essential. Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, will be crucial to your success. Experience with electronic court filings, PACER research, and drafting legal documents is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected legal team and work on high-stakes cases alongside industry-leading attorneys. If you're ready to elevate your litigation expertise, we would love to hear from you!
The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at critical thinking. You excel at managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and taking full ownership of your projects and responsibilities. With a proactive mindset, you anticipate challenges, solve problems efficiently, and collaborate seamlessly as a true team player.
You are technologically savvy, quick to adapt to new software, and leverage your paralegal expertise to enhance teamwork, client service, and overall efficiency.
