Nelson Mullins is adding an Associate to its Corporate group in the New York office. As an AmLaw100 firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a lateral associate who wants to be part of a thriving practice.
The lawyers in the New York office practice within the Corporate Group’s capital markets, private equity, securities, real estate, lending, project finance, investment management, energy, mergers and acquisitions, banking and general corporate practice areas, as well as general litigation, white collar defense & government investigations, and labor and employment. The office, located at 330 Madison Avenue, is just a few blocks from Grand Central, the busiest train station in the country, and is also close to many of the city’s thriving arts, fashion, and entertainment venues.
Our Emerging Companies and Venture Capital team raises seed, venture or growth capital to build or scale businesses; attracts and retain talent to achieve business objectives in a competitive environment; drafts and negotiates key commercial agreements to fuel growth; protects and enhances intellectual property portfolios to provide barriers to entry; successfully packages and closes on M&A transactions.

You possess three to six years of meaningful corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting; emerging company and venture capital experience is strongly preferred. You are knowledgeable in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters. With strong writing, analytical, and communications skills, you have excelled academically. You are a member of the New York bar.
