The Los Angeles office of an AmLaw 100 law firm seeks a Litigation Administrative Assistant that has experience supporting Litigation Attorneys to provide an elevated level of administrative support and assistance to a busy team of legal professionals. This position requires a proactive administrative professional with a “can do attitude” who is able to give exceptional legal and administrative support by anticipating needs, finding solutions to problems, and being an active team player.
You’ll provide a high level of administrative support and assistance to a litigation team. This position requires someone who's ready and willing to jump in and take charge as no two days will be the same. You’ll perform tasks such as preparing, revising, and finalizing legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery. Proficient knowledge of docketing rules for California jurisdictions is required. In addition, you’ll assist with billing/client invoices, maintaining attorney calendars, opening new client/matter engagements, along with performing additional duties as needed.
You have over three years of litigation experience and are eager to contribute your expertise to a successful team, ensuring exceptional client service. With a keen eye for detail, you excel at managing multiple priorities, meeting strict deadlines, and handling administrative and legal tasks with efficiency. You take direction well, work independently, and bring strong organizational skills to the role. A college degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must have at least three years of recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm. Proficiency in California court system rules, along with experience in E-Filing and File & Serve, is a plus. Familiarity with document management systems, docketing systems, and billing and time entry programs is also preferred.
