Are you detail-oriented and adept at navigating complex challenges? Join our team at an AmLaw 65 law firm, as Conflicts Counsel, where you will play a key role in identifying and resolving conflicts of interest for new clients and matters across the firm.
In this position, you’ll run and analyze conflict searches, working closely with firm Partners and their teams to understand potential conflicts and determine effective resolutions. You’ll collaborate with the General Counsel’s office as needed to secure approvals and ensure compliance throughout the conflict resolution process. Accuracy is key as you will also be responsible for documenting conflict resolutions and ensuring all party and matter information is entered correctly in our conflicts database.
As a Conflicts Counsel, you’ll be a valued team player, assisting with special projects assigned by the Conflicts Manager and collaborating seamlessly with other Conflicts Department personnel, the General Counsel’s office, Partners, staff, and cross-functional teams.
You bring at least 2 years of experience in legal conflicts analysis, including resolving and clearing conflicts, as part of new business or lateral business intake, or 5 years of experience working on document review projects. A strong team player, you excel in problem-solving and analytical thinking. With a solid foundation in legal ethics and professional responsibility, you understand the critical nature of this role. You are an effective communicator and possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your work.
