Nelson Mullins is seeking an Associate/Patent Agent to join its IP team in its Boston office. As an AmLaw100 firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a lateral associate who wants to be part of a growing practice in a dynamic office.
Our Boston office is located at One Financial Center, right across the street from South Station, in the city’s Financial District. The location offers access to major commuter transportation as well as green spaces, including the nearby Rose Kennedy Greenway and Boston Harbor.
Boston office attorneys and professionals provide services in, among other areas, litigation, intellectual property, government relations, employment and labor, corporate services, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and consumer financial services. The Boston office houses a team of intellectual property attorneys and patent and technical professionals. They are scientists, engineers, and mathematicians, many with Ph.D. degrees, masters, and bachelor degrees in technical disciplines. Additionally, Boston is home to some of the attorneys in our Federal Government Strategies team who focus on government relations consulting and lobbying.

You have at least 3 years of biotechnology patent prosecution experience. A PhD (or equivalent) in molecular cell biology, immunology, biochemistry or relevant biological science required. You will work directly with attorneys and other patent agents on IP matters for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. You have excelled academically with strong writing, analytical, and communications skills. You are admitted to the state Bar of a major metropolitan city where Nelson Mullins has an office.
