The Orlando office of an AmLaw 100 law firm seeks a Litigation Administrative Assistant to join the team in handling various complex commercial, civil, and defense litigation matters. That will provide high level legal and administrative support to Partners, Associates, and Paralegals.
The Litigation Administrative Assistant will play an active role assisting in the management of each attorney’s caseload by maintaining attorney calendars, making travel arrangements, and processing monthly expense reports. You will be responsible for preparing, revising, and finalizing correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents. You will schedule depositions, mediations, other client meetings, and communicate with clients as necessary. Run conflict checks, open new client/matter engagements, maintain electronic files, set-up billing requirements for clients. You will maintain and update contacts, assist with billing/client invoices and other clerical assignments as delegated.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the ability to deal with unscheduled events that may require changing priorities. Must be a self-starter and proactive in work habits. Must have strong ability to write and communicate effectively and professionally with employees, clients and attorneys. In this role you must be able to collaborate with Attorneys, Paralegals, and other Administrative professionals while managing the various personalities and expectations.
