Overview

The Los Angeles office of an AmLaw 100 law firm seeks a Litigation Administrative Assistant that has experience supporting Litigation Attorneys to provide an elevated level of administrative support and assistance to a busy team of legal professionals.  This position requires a proactive administrative professional with a “can do attitude” who is able to give exceptional legal and administrative support by anticipating needs, finding solutions to problems, and being an active team player.

A Day in the Life

You’ll provide a high level of administrative support and assistance to a litigation team.  This position requires someone who's ready and willing to jump in and take charge as no two days will be the same.  You’ll perform tasks such as preparing, revising, and finalizing legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery.  Proficient knowledge of docketing rules for California jurisdictions is required.  In addition, you’ll assist with billing/client invoices, maintaining attorney calendars, opening new client/matter engagements, along with performing additional duties as needed.

You are looking to utilize your 3+ years of litigation legal experience to help this successful team reach new levels of customer satisfaction.  You understand that this position requires your keen eye for detail and ability to juggle and prioritize as needed.  Working under strict deadlines is a breeze as you’re an organizational master with excellent administrative and legal skills.  You take direction well and are able to work independently.

 

A college degree preferred, high school degree or equivalent mandatory. Must have 3+ years of recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm. Proficient in California court system rules with experience with E-Filing and File and Serve are a plus. Experience with a document management system, docketing system, billing and time entry programs preferred.

 

Pursuant to the salary transparency provisions of the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, please find the compensation range specific to this role if based in the State California:

  • California pay range for this role, with final offer amount depending on experience is $75,000 to $90,000.
