Are you looking to join a tenured team at an AmLaw100 firm? Nelson Mullins is seeking an attorney with at least 10 years of real estate experience to join its Real Estate Group in our Nashville, Tennessee office. As an AmLaw100 firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic team in a growing location and join a tenured team at an Amlaw68 firm. The ideal candidate has strong commercial real estate experience working in a mid-size or large law firm and has developed a small book of portable real estate or transactional business.  

You have experience in the areas of commercial real estate, development, investment, financing leasing, and lender representation. You will spend your days representing national retailers, restaurant operating companies, lenders, developers, corporate end users, private equity and institutional investors, and other deal sponsors in the full gamut of investment and development transactions throughout the country and involving all asset classes.  You will also work collaboratively with colleagues in our other offices across our national real estate platform.

You have at least 10 years of meaningful experience practicing in commercial real estate.  You understand traditional real estate matters such as title and survey due diligence, preparation, and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, real estate corporate governance, such as the preparation and negotiation of joint ventures, and real estate finance and lender work.  Your writing, analytical, and communication skills are first-rate, you have excellent academic credentials and are admitted to the Tennessee Bar. Some portable business is preferred for this role.
