Overview

National, AmLaw 100 law firm seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to implement and maintain Cisco networks.  As an infrastructure engineer, you will be responsible for installing Cisco networks, troubleshooting issues, maintaining security, and training IT staff on Cisco networking products.

A Day in the Life

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in complex network deployments, a deep understanding of Cisco Nexus 9K enterprise switches, Cisco 9800 wireless LAN controllers, Palo Alto SD-WAN appliances, Cisco Identity Services Engine, NX-OS and IOS-XE software. having knowledge. package. Optional experience with VMware (6.7 and 7), NAS arrays, Azure IAAS, and common backend systems is ideal. Sharing knowledge effectively requires a positive attitude and good communication skills.

 

You’ll design and implement network solutions based on Cisco products and technologies. Test and deploy new versions of code in the Cisco environment to ensure that all systems are compatible with the new code. This includes Catalyst 9300 and 3850 Switches, 8K and 4K ISR Routers, Nexus 9K Enterprise Switches, 9800-CL Wireless LAN Controllers, Identity Services Engine and DNAC, and more. You will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot overall network system performance to proactively identify potential problems and optimize accordingly. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure network systems integrate with other IT solutions. You’ll provide on-call service to resolve critical network, system, security alert, and notification issues. You’ll Focuses on backend infrastructure system projects and support, including but not limited to: virtualization, cloud, storage, computing, networking, and security. Provide technical support and guidance to end users and other IT staff. Participate in technology evaluations and recommend new technologies to improve network performance and security. This position requires periodic movement.

Knowledge of company technology is required to successfully complete most tasks. You should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within your IT department. 

We Know You

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience as a network engineer, and detailed knowledge of Cisco networking systems. You will have the ability to identify, deploy, and manage complex networking systems. 

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking administration, information technology, or relevant work experience.
  • CCNA or CCNP certification.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
