  • Overview

    Large super regional law firm (Am Law 100 firm) seeks a Marketing Supervisor.  This position is open for the following office positions:  Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL or Miami, FL. 

    Responsibilities

    • Works with the firm’s Director of Marketing to identify and work on special marketing initiatives, including industry group studies, organizing practice groups, and client programs
    • Interface directly with attorneys, including practice group and team leaders to identify marketing needs, including revision of group marketing materials based on group goals and targets
    • Provide insight and assistance into pitches and proposals
    • Attend, when possible or invited, calls and meetings with groups and teams to determine how marketing can help meet their needs
    • Identify “hot topics” or niche areas for the firm to embrace in thought leadership, events, and webinars
    • May also work on special projects, in particular an alumni program
    • Contact with a diverse group of timekeepers, supervisors, co-workers, and other staff members is common in the role over the phone, e-mail and in person
    • Knowledge with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the marketing department necessary, in addition knowledge of Firm technology is necessary to successfully complete most responsibilities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree is required (major in marketing or business preferred)
    • 5+ years of professional experience
    • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of professionals, including attorneys, clients, and staff
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision when performing routine tasks and seeks guidance when facing unfamiliar assignments
    • Travel required
    • Law firm marketing experience preferred
