  • Responsibilities

    AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking qualified applicants for E-Discovery Technical Specialist (Client Data Management Team Specialist) positions. Candidate to be responsible for providing support to attorneys and clients with the technical aspects of electronic discovery and litigation databases, while managing and trouble-shooting the flow of data through various discovery tools, assisting with the management of a meticulous e-discovery workflow, and providing quality control and oversight of third-party vendors. Overall, the CDMT Specialist performs the day-to-day technical management of client data from a data tracking perspective between platforms as well as loading into review databases, setting up document review database needs and running productions post-attorney review.  Typical responsibilities include:

     

    • Tracks client data through the e-discovery process; maintains intake and output tracking logs and inventories for all data and media
    • Reviews data load files for accuracy
    • Builds, configures, and maintains document review databases utilizing various software platforms
    • Prepares analyses of data for case teams
    • Provides application support, training, and technical assistance
    • Provides technology support and services for litigation case management end-users
    • Works with members of other technology groups at firm to resolve technical problems that may arise

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or closely related field or equivalent experience
    • Relevant experience in an eDiscovery vendor or law firm environment a plus
    • Experience with Relativity required.  RCA preferred or willingness to take the RCA within first year of employment.
    • Knowledge of processing platforms such as Nuix and Relativity preferred thought no required
    • Seeking professional with 2-5 years of experience

    Knowledge of other technologies and utilities such as text file editors, SFTP clients, encryption software, and remote desktop is necessary to successfully complete most responsibilities. Knowledge with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the IT department is necessary. Contact with a diverse group of timekeepers, supervisors, co-workers, and other staff members is common in the role over the phone, e-mail and in person. May also be responsible for special projects.  Ability to work after normal business hours and weekends as needed.  Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree.
