The Atlanta Office of a national, AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking qualified applicants for a Paralegal with 5+ years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing both asbestos and securities litigation cases; case preparation from beginning to end; the ability to perform federal and state court filings; experience with trial preparation and trials; experience with document review software (Concordance, I-Pro, Eclipse); strong communication skills; the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff; the ability to self-manage and meet deadlines; and the ability to work overtime when needed.


Mid-size to large law firm experience a plus.


  • Perform full range of paralegal tasks from case inception through case closure.
  • Maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars.
  • Prepare deposition notices; organize, maintain and prepare deposition materials, exhibits and summaries.
  • Participate in case strategy meetings.
  • Ensure expertise in technology relevant to the position; proactively use most current technology to further teamwork, client service, and efficiency.
  • Familiarity and ability to electronically file pleadings using state and federal electronic filing systems (i.e. Peach Court, Odyssey eFileGA, PACER CM/ECF).

  • Handle routine calls and correspondence to outside attorneys, courthouse personnel, vendors, and clients.
  • Handle large document reviews, both in person and electronically, generate and maintain production logs, and organize discovery.

Education: BA/BS required. Paralegal certificate a plus.


  • Experience with e-filing within the Federal Courts, specifically with the U.S District Courts (and Georgia state courts).
  • Ability to conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, and Lexis/Lexis Advance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Nuance PDF).
  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a strong client service orientation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
