  • Overview

    The Atlanta Office of a national, AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking qualified applicants for a project assistant position working directly with attorneys on corporate transactions and governance. The position requires an applicant that is available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It is a full-time position with overtime pay for any additional hours, paid holidays, and personal time off (after a probationary period).

    Responsibilities

    - Assisting team leaders with client and workflow management

    - Basic document drafting and preparation

    - Assisting attorneys with corporate compliance at the local, state, and federal level

    - Researching corporate records in a variety of jurisdictions, conducting legal research as necessary, and analyzing market data

    - Handling administrative duties to support the legal team in its day to day activities in a wide variety of legal areas, and

    - Effectively communicating with clients and attorneys at all levels

     

    Qualifications

    - Four year degree from an accredited college or university

    - A demonstrated interest in a legal career, paralegal certificate is a plus

    - Willingness to work for two years prior to pursuing further education

    - Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to changing timeframes

    - Highly developed organizational skills and ability to keep track of many details simultaneously

    - Must be able to prioritize, manage tasks, and handle a variety of demands

    - Strong communication skills in order to document and present information to attorneys

    - Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    - Ability to work flexible hours/a flexible schedule to accommodate projects as needed

    - Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
