Responsibilities

The Greenville, South Carolina office of a large, multi-state law firm is seeking an attorney to join the litigation team in the family law practice area. 

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to concentrate practice in SC Family Court working in a support role to partners who have existing, active caseload. 
  • Prior experience in family law not required.  Candidates should appreciate the variety of legal issues which arise in Family Court and be willing to become knowledgeable in multiple areas.
  • Ideal candidate will have command of rules of civil procedure, excellent research, written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have some courtroom experience, skills and acumen.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to frequently work evenings and weekends required.
  • Must enjoy working with and helping people in time of crisis.
  • Must be willing to also work independently and singularly handle court appearances.
  • Must believe in the philosophy that lawyers should be problem solvers, not problem creators.
  • Judicial clerkship and 1-3 years’ experience in a litigation-oriented practice is preferred
  • Must be a member in good standing with South Carolina Bar and have completed all 403 requirements.All candidates are asked to submit the following application materials:
